High-Strength Low-Hydrogen Electrode for Critical Structural Welding

Eagle 11018 is a premium low-hydrogen stick electrode designed for high-strength structural, fabrication and repair applications where weld integrity, toughness and crack resistance are critical.

Its low-hydrogen coating helps reduce the risk of hydrogen-induced cracking while providing a smooth, stable arc, strong penetration and dependable weld quality. Eagle 11018 is well suited for demanding applications involving structural steel, heavy equipment, pressure vessels, pipelines and load-bearing components.

High Strength. Low Hydrogen. Built for Critical Welds.

Eagle 11018 is recommended for:

Structural steel fabrication
Heavy equipment repair
Construction and infrastructure
Pressure vessels
Pipelines
Load-bearing components
High-strength steel repair
Critical industrial welding

Designed for applications where strength, toughness and resistance to hydrogen-induced cracking are important.

Clean the weld area thoroughly and remove rust, scale, paint, grease and other contaminants before welding.

Use the lowest effective amperage for the electrode diameter and application while maintaining a short to medium arc.

Follow appropriate preheat, interpass and low-hydrogen handling procedures when welding higher-strength or crack-sensitive steels.

Because low-hydrogen electrodes are sensitive to moisture pickup, keep electrodes clean and dry and follow proper storage or rod-oven procedures where required.

Eagle 11018 is a high-strength, low-hydrogen welding electrode developed for demanding structural and industrial welding applications.

Its low-hydrogen coating helps minimize diffusible hydrogen in the weld deposit, reducing the risk of hydrogen-assisted cracking in higher-strength and restrained weldments.

Why Eagle 11018?

Higher-strength performance — designed for applications requiring more strength than a standard 70 ksi-class electrode.

Low-hydrogen protection — helps reduce the risk of hydrogen-induced cracking in critical weldments.
Built for structural work — ideal for heavy fabrication, equipment repair and load-bearing applications.

Dependable arc characteristics — smooth, stable arc performance helps produce consistent, high-integrity welds.

11018 or EB7018?

Choose EB7018 for dependable general structural welding where a standard 70 ksi-class low-hydrogen electrode meets the application requirements.

Choose Eagle 11018 when the job calls for higher-strength weld metal and more demanding structural or repair service.

In simple terms:
EB7018 = standard low-hydrogen structural welding
11018 = higher-strength low-hydrogen structural welding
