High-Strength Aluminum Bronze Electrode for Wear-Resistant Repair

Eagle 206 is a premium aluminum bronze welding electrode designed for high-strength repair, joining and build-up on bronze components and parts exposed to wear.

It produces a smooth arc and dense, porosity-free weld deposits, making it well suited for demanding applications such as gears, impellers, valve bodies, ship propellers, blades and hydraulic components.

With approximately 100,000 psi tensile strength and 200 BH hardness, Eagle 206 provides a strong, wear-resistant bronze deposit for industrial maintenance and repair.

High Strength. Wear Resistant. Built for Bronze Repair.

Eagle 206 is recommended for:

Gears
Impellers
Valve bodies
Ship propellers
Blades
Hydraulic parts
Aluminum bronze repair
Build-up applications
Wear-resistant repair
Industrial maintenance

Designed for applications where strength and wear resistance are more important than a softer bronze deposit.

Use DC Reverse [+] Polarity.

Clean all weld areas thoroughly with a grinder.

Preheat thick sections to approximately 600°F.

Maintain a short arc length while welding.

Allow the weld to cool slowly and remove slag thoroughly between passes.

Eagle 206 is an aluminum bronze electrode that produces a smooth, stable arc and dense, porosity-free weld deposits.

Its combination of approximately 100,000 psi tensile strength and 200 BH hardness makes it particularly useful for bronze components subjected to mechanical loading and wear.

Why Eagle 206?

High tensile strength — approximately 100,000 psi for demanding repair applications.

Wear-resistant deposit — approximately 200 BH hardness.
Dense, porosity-free welds — designed for dependable repair of bronze components.

Excellent for rotating and mechanical parts — especially gears, impellers, propellers, blades and hydraulic components.

206 or 204?

Choose Eagle 206 when you want a harder, stronger, more wear-resistant aluminum bronze deposit for demanding mechanical components.

Choose Eagle 204 when you want a softer tin-bronze deposit for general bronze repair and build-up, especially bearings, pumps, impellers and castings.

In simple terms:
206 = high-strength, wear-resistant aluminum bronze
204 = softer tin bronze for general repair and build-up
