Flux-Cored Aluminum Torch Alloy for Repair and Fabrication

Eagle 415 FC is a premium flux-cored aluminum repair rod designed for use with an oxy-acetylene torch. Its active flux is contained inside the rod, making aluminum repair simpler by eliminating the need to apply separate external flux.

Ideal for repairing aluminum tanks, engine blocks, cast aluminum components and general aluminum fabrication, Eagle 415 FC produces strong, corrosion-resistant repairs with good colour match and can be applied in all positions.

With a working temperature of approximately 1100°F / 593°C, Eagle 415 FC provides a practical solution for aluminum repair where MIG or TIG equipment is not available or convenient.

Designed for repairing and fabricating aluminum, including cast aluminum.

Use a slightly carburizing flame.

Clean all oxides from the weld area using a stainless steel wire brush.

Preheat the material to approximately 1000°F.

Melt approximately 1/4" of the rod onto the workpiece. As the rod heats, the internal flux will liquefy. Continue heating until the alloy begins to flow freely, then add additional alloy until the repair is complete.

Allow the weld to cool slowly. Remove remaining flux with a stiff brush and hot water.

Eagle 415 FC is a flux-cored aluminum torch alloy with active flux contained inside the rod.

It can be applied in all positions using an oxy-acetylene torch, making it a versatile choice for aluminum repair and fabrication.
