High-Strength Cadmium-Free Silver Solder with Super-Active Flux

Eagle 500 FC is a flexible, flux-coated, cadmium-free silver solder designed for joining ferrous and non-ferrous metals where higher strength is required than with conventional solders.

It provides an excellent colour match on stainless steel and is well suited for applications in the dairy and food industry, oxygen lines, electrical connections and general repair.

Its super-active flux provides strong cleaning action during brazing, helping prepare the joint and improve alloy flow.

High Strength. Cadmium Free. Excellent Stainless Colour Match.

Eagle 500FC Safety Data Sheet SDS

Eagle 500 FC is recommended for:

Stainless steel
Ferrous metals
Non-ferrous metals
Dairy equipment
Food-processing equipment
Oxygen lines
Electrical connections
General repair
Maintenance brazing
Applications requiring higher strength than conventional solders

Especially well suited where strength, stainless colour match and active flux cleaning are important.

Clean oxides and contaminants from the parent metal.

Use a slightly carburizing flame.

Preheat the workpiece to approximately 350°F / 200°C, then heat the joint area to approximately 800°F / 420°C.

Melt a small amount of flux from the end of the rod and allow it to flow throughout the joint area.

Add Eagle 500 FC alloy as required.

Allow the workpiece to cool before removing remaining flux residue.

Eagle 500 FC is a flexible, flux-coated, cadmium-free silver solder designed for strong, dependable brazed joints.

Its special super-active flux provides approximately twice the base-metal cleaning action of many conventional silver flux-coated products, helping improve joint preparation and alloy flow.

Why Eagle 500 FC?

Cadmium free — suitable for applications where cadmium-free silver brazing alloy is preferred.

Excellent stainless colour match — a strong choice for visible stainless repairs and fabrication.

Higher strength — approximately 71,000 psi tensile strength.
Super-active flux — provides aggressive cleaning action during brazing.

Versatile application range — suitable for ferrous and non-ferrous metals, food-industry equipment, oxygen lines, electrical connections and general repair.

500 FC or 300 FC?

Choose Eagle 500 FC when you want higher strength, excellent stainless colour match and a more active flux.
Choose Eagle 300 FC when you want an economical, forgiving general-repair silver solder, particularly where joint clearances are uneven.

In simple terms:
500 FC = higher-strength premium silver solder
300 FC = economical general-repair silver solder
