Premium Chromium Carbide Hardfacing for Severe Abrasion and Moderate Impact

Eagle 634 is a premium chromium carbide hardfacing electrode designed for components exposed to severe abrasive wear with moderate impact. Its alloy-rich deposit provides excellent wear resistance with a hardness of approximately 60–63 HRC, helping extend the service life of heavily worn equipment.

Ideal for mining, aggregate, construction, agriculture and heavy equipment repair, Eagle 634 is well suited for hardfacing bucket teeth, bucket lips, corner bits, dredge pump impellers, grapples, mixer paddles, ripper teeth, screw conveyors, compactors, mill hammers and scraper components.

Premium Wear Protection for Severe Service.

Eagle 634 is recommended for:

Bucket teeth
Buckets and bucket lips
Corner bits
Dredge pump impellers
Grapples
Mixer paddles
Ripper teeth
Screw conveyors
Compactors
Mill hammers
Scraper sides
Mining and aggregate equipment

Designed for components exposed to severe abrasion with moderate impact.

Clean the weld area thoroughly and remove fatigued or damaged metal before hardfacing. Use grinding where practical, or Eagle 188 airless gouging electrodes where additional material removal is required.

Eagle 634 is a chromium carbide hardfacing electrode engineered for severe abrasive wear and moderate impact.

Its approximately 60–63 HRC deposit provides strong protection against aggressive wear in applications such as mining, earthmoving, aggregate handling and heavy equipment repair.

Why Eagle 634?

Severe abrasion resistance — chromium carbide alloying provides excellent protection in aggressive wear environments.

60–63 HRC deposit — delivers a hard, wear-resistant surface for heavily loaded components.

Moderate impact capability — provides a balance of hardness and toughness for equipment that sees both abrasion and impact.

Built for heavy equipment — ideal for bucket lips, ripper teeth, screw conveyors, mill hammers and mining components.

634 or 636?

Choose Eagle 634 when you want a chromium carbide hardfacing electrode specifically focused on premium severe-abrasion wear resistance.

Choose Eagle 636 when high deposition rate is a major priority and you want to cover larger wear surfaces more quickly. Eagle’s current hardfacing guide specifically identifies 636 by its high deposition rate.

In simple terms:
634 = premium chromium carbide wear protection
636 = severe abrasion protection + higher deposition rate
