Its fast-freeze weld puddle makes it particularly well suited for vertical and overhead applications where puddle control is critical.

Clean the weld area thoroughly and remove worn or fatigued metal before welding. Where required, use a grinder or Eagle 188 airless gouging electrodes to remove damaged material.

Maintain approximately 3/4" stick-out and use the lowest effective amperage for the application. Use a stringer bead technique where maximum strength is required.

Eagle 881FMG is an all-position, gas-shielded flux-cored wire designed to produce high-strength, tough weld deposits with excellent operator control.

The 1% nickel alloy content provides enhanced toughness for demanding service conditions, while the soft, stable arc and fast-freezing puddle make out-of-position welding easier to control with minimal spatter.

Eagle 881FMG is classified to AWS A5.36 and is designed for use with 80/20 Argon/CO₂ shielding gas.
