Especially suited for applications where high-quality welds, low spatter and clean appearance are important.

Clean the weld area thoroughly and remove fatigued or damaged metal where required. Grinding may be used, or Eagle 188 airless gouging electrodes can be used for weld preparation.

Use the lowest effective amperage while maintaining approximately 1/2"–3/4" stick-out. Use a stringer-bead technique where maximum strength is required.

Eagle Bortech H is an all-position solid wire designed to produce high-quality welds on carbon steel using either 75/25 Ar/CO₂ or 100% CO₂ shielding gas.

Its combination of high deoxidizer content, smooth arc characteristics and low spatter makes it especially useful where appearance and consistency matter.
