The EAGLE 308L-16 electrode is used for welding 301, 302, 304 and 308 stainless.

Procedure Procedure

Use AC or DC Reverse [+] Polarity. Clean weld areas with grinder and groove out cracks using the EAGLE 188. Maintain a short arc length and use stringer beads.

General Characteristics General Characteristics

The EAGLE 308L-16 electrodes contain extra low carbon for welding of austenitic, low carbon 18% Chrome – 8% Nickel stainless steel such as AISI-304-ELC. The weld deposit of this electrode contains a minimum of 0.04% Carbon, which greatly reduces the formation of chromium carbides, thereby protecting the corrosion resistant qualities of the base metal and weld. This is an all position electrode.
